About

Jacob is on track to complete a five-year professional degree at the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor’s of Architecture degree with a Minor in History of Architecture and Design from the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design, a program that has enjoyed the national reputation for producing outstanding designers who are well prepared for professional practice and use drawing as a tool for seeing. The use of the hand in design has been dwindling as it is something of a lost art in the age of digital design. Drawing as a vehicle of seeing has very much influenced his design process as a whole.

As a facilitator of good design, one aims to make the design process as simple and immersive as possible with a combination of hand drawing and computer based design. He strives to facilitate a design language that expresses a coherence of remarkably different parts. Identifying swells within the whole, abstracting the physical with that of which is imbued with deeper meaning. Rooted in balance, order and proportion, a design language allows a story to be told in just one glance through the use of drawing as a tool for seeing. It is both an opportunity as well as a responsibility to facilitate in creating a framework through design that will both benefit and serve the community around it.
